GSRT – Full day

Basic safety training for those who work on or around the water. The course mixes practical knowledge and rescue on the water with theoretical knowledge of prevention and promotion of safety work. Contains a lot of wet exercises!

Whitewater safety – Full day

Foundational skills in safety and rescue for grade 1-2 rivers, skills are also applicable in more difficult waters. Skills are generic for canoes and kayaks.

”Derusting” whitewater skills

For experienced WW-paddlers

For independent paddlers to get back into the water after the winterbreak.

Bollsjo-lake trip

(Social trip)

We paddle away with a cup of coffee in the middle and space for different exercises and experience exchanges between the participants. As always in paddling context, there is a risk / opportunity to get wet. No prior knowledge required, everyone is welcome!

Try out canoes

Down at the shore there will be an array of canoes and paddles of different designs and different materials. A great opportunity to research the complexity of the open canoe, and maybe find some new favourites.

Whitewater canoeing introduction (Solo) – Full day 

Introducing the basics of whitewater canoeing.

Introducing the basics of whitewater canoeing.

Reading the river, decision-making, trim, ferryglide, eddies.

Traditional canoeing skills and campfire cooking

A day trip on lake Bäsingen highlighting traditional canoeing skills and campfire cooking.

Foundational paddling technique – For beginners

Discover the characteristics of the canoe and how to go where you want it. We try out positions, forward and back-paddling, moving sideways.

Foundational paddling technique – For experienced

This workshop aims to deepen the skills and understanding of the foundations of paddle technique

Canoe sailing

Sailing with improvised rigs and ready-made rigs in canoes. We go through different ways to rig the canoe and how we best use the wind to go where we want in a comfortable way.

Lake poling

The basics in propelling a canoe with a pole. Steady course, balance, turning and trimming.

Portaging – packing, lifting, portaging

Different techniques for landtransport, securing the canoe on a trailer or on Your vehicle, routines for packing and loading.

Develop your skills in maneuvering the canoe in whitewater

Poling, lining and prtaging in running water – Full day

Poling upstream and downstream, techniques using lines from shore and the canoe in the stream or rapid. Portaging techniques and routines.

Open water skills – Full day

Waves, wind, tactics, techniques, navigation and safety. Campfire cooking.

Efficient paddling – technique not strength

Explore how to move the canoe with less force and saving energy by using good technique and tactics

Learn to make and repair Gera using a knife and axe on trip. If there’s any interest we’ll also take a look paddle repair.

Paddling together with children

An inspirational workshop blending methodstechniques and ideas on  paddling with 

groups of mixed agesWe use experiancal learning through exercises and reflection to get a purse of ideas on how to work in clubswith family or friends.

Taking a relaxed approach on different techniques used during the weekend. We´ll blend strokes to move our canoes in all imaginable pivots, slips and what not. We´ll challenge ourselves and each other to get a smile and sometimes a laughEach and everyone starting at their own level of experince . Solo or tandem. 

Paddlepass Level 2 assessment

Assessment in the Swedish version of EPP 2. Travel home with a green card or an action plan for your future development.

Cooperation in tandem paddling
